Monkey D. Luffy also known as Straw Hat Luffy, is the protagonist of the One Piece franchise. He is the captain of the Straw Hat Pirates and a Yonko that wants to find the One Piece treasure and become the King of the Pirates. He is also the son of Monkey D. Dragon, the grandson of Monkey D. Garp, the adoptive younger brother of Portgas D. Ace and Sabo, and the love interest of the ex-Shichibukai, Boa Hancock.

He is voiced by Urara Takano and Mayumi Tanaka in the Japanese version of the anime, and by Erica Schroeder, Chuck Powers and Colleen Clinkenbeard in the English version of the anime. He will be portrayed by Iñaki Godoy in the live action version.
