Gogeta (ゴジータ Gojīta) is the resulting fusion of Goku and Vegeta, when they perform the Fusion Dance properly. His voice is a dual voice containing both Goku’s and Vegeta’s voices. Like his Potara counterpart, Vegito, he is regarded as one of the most powerful characters in the whole Dragon Ball franchise.

Overview

Creation and Concept

Gogeta first appeared in the 1997 movie Dragon Ball Z: Fusion Reborn. He was added years later in Broly. Gogeta’s new traits in Dragon ball Super: Broly were a result of Akira Toriyama’s attempt at adding him into the “Dragon Ball canon“

Appearance

As a fusion of Goku and Vegeta, Gogeta is a combination of their characteristics, retaining Goku’s tall physique and Vegeta’s stern facial features. Like other Metamoran fusions, he dons a black vest with reddish-orange padding, a dark blue belt, and black wristbands. 

First shown in his Super Saiyan form, his hairstyle resembles Vegeta’s, though Gogeta’s hair is longer and wider, sporting an additional bang down his forehead. In Fusion Reborn, Gogeta retains Vegeta’s widow’s peak, while in Dragon Ball Super: Broly, he lacks the widow’s peak, and with the reveal of his base form, sports jet-black hair and Vegeta’s tan complexion. His Metamoran outfit also more closely resembles his son Gotenks‘, the padding on his vest being yellow instead of orange and his belt a distinct shade of teal instead of dark blue.
