Agito (Kamen Rider) JUS

Kamen Rider Agito , is a Japanese Tokusatsu drama in Toei Company’s Kamen Rider Series. It is the second to debut in the Heisei Era and the fifteenth overall. Created as a joint collaboration to celebrate the franchise’s 30 anniversary, the series premiered on January 28, 2001, joining Mirai Sentai Timeranger for a brief moment, in the Super Hero Time lineup. After Mirai Sentai Timerangerended, Timeranger got replaced with Hyakuju Sentai Gaoranger.

Agito explicitly states that the show takes place two years after the eradication of Unidentified Lifeforms, with Kuuga himself later being the basis for Kamen Rider G3, indicating that amount of time has passed since the end of Kamen Rider Kuuga. However Agito is set in 2001, meaning only a year at most would have passed since Kuuga, creating a continuity error. Producer Shin-ichiro Shirakura later stated that Agito takes in a parallel universe where their own variation of events from Kuuga had occurred in a similar way. This was done to meet the demands of fans who either asked for a sequel to Kuuga or a new Rider with a new theme relevant to the year 2001.
