Yamcha is a major character in the Japanese martial arts fantasy franchise Dragon Ball.

The best friend of Puar and a former desert bandit, Yamcha was once an enemy of Goku, but quickly reformed and became a lifelong friend and ally. Brave, boastful and dependable, Yamcha is a very talented martial artist and one of the most gifted Humans on Earth, possessing skills and traits that allow him to fight alongside his fellow Z Fighters when major threats loom. Although by the latter half of Dragon Ball Z, he retires from fighting, but still trains and fights on occasions when needed.

He is voiced by Toru Furuya in Japanese version of the anime, He is voiced by Christopher Sabat who also voiced Vegeta and Piccolo in the same franchise in English version of the anime.
