Silvers Rayleigh, also known as the “Dark King”, is the former first mate of the Roger Pirates, regarded as the “Right Hand of the Pirate King”. During his time as a pirate, he acted as a supervisor of the crew, having a disciplinary role towards apprentices such as Shanks and Buggy.
Having long retired from piracy after the disbandment of his crew, Raleigh now lives in the Sabaody Archipelago, becoming infamous for coating ships, gambling and drinking. He is married to his business partner of twenty years Shakuyaku, and is friends with the fishman Hatchan, having saved him as a child.After the Battle of Marineford, Raleigh acted as Luffy’s mentor in the use of Haki during the two-year timeskip.
