One Piece  was published in Vietnam under the name Pirate Island is a  manga for teenagers author’sOda Eiichiro, serialized in  Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine, first published in the 34th edition. on July 19, 1997. The  tankōbon  of the manga was released by  Shueisha  with the first volume on December 24, 1997. One Piece follows the journey of  Monkey D. Luffy – the captain of the Straw Hat Pirates and your teammates. Luffy searches the mysterious sea where the world’s greatest treasure, One Piece, is kept, with the goal of becoming the New Pirate King.

One Piece has also been adapted into several different media. An  OVA  was produced by  Production IG  in 1998. After that, a series anime version made by  Toei Animation , began airing on  Japan  in 1999. Toei also produced 11 anime films, one OVA and 5 related TV specials. Some companies have developed many other products based on stories such as game cards, video games. The manga is licensed in English to  Viz Media  for release in  North America,  Gollancz Manga in UK,  Madman Entertainment in Australia and  New Zealand. In North America, the anime is licensed for English localization and distribution by Funimation Entertainmen .
