The upcoming Mr. Osomatsu ~Tamashi no Takoyaki Party to Densetsu no Otamarikai~ anime, the second of the 2015 Mr. Osomatsu series’ sixth anniversary animation projects, has received a main trailer and visual.
Mr. Osomatsu ~Tamashi no Takoyaki Party to Densetsu no Otamarikai~ (Mr Osomatsu: Takoyaki Party of the Soul and the Legendary Sleepover) is premiering in Japanese theaters on July 21. The main staff includes Hikaru Yamaguchi (Given) as director, Shuu Matsubara (Mr Osomatsu Seasons 1-3 series composer and scriptwriter) as scriptwriter, and Eiji Abiko (Mr Osomatsu Season 3) as character designer. Studio Pierrot is the animation production company.
The cast includes:

• Hiroshi Kamiya as Choromatsu Matsuno
• Jun Fukuyama as Ichimatsu Matsuno
• Daisuke Ono as Jyushimatsu Matsuno
• Miyu Irino as Todomatsu Matsuno
• Aya Endou as Totoko
The Mr. Osomatsu series is inspired by the Shogakukan-published 1962 Osomatsu-kun gag manga series by the late Fujio Akatsuka, which revolves around the Matsuno sextuplets. The first sixth anniversary project, Mr Osomatsu ~Hipipo-zoku to Kagayaku Kajitsu~, premiered in Japanese theaters in July 2022.

The anime currently has three seasons, with the third running from October 2020 to March 2021. An anime movie was released in 2019, while a a non-Pierrot-produced short form web anime was released in 2016. The 2015 anime has also spawned other media in the form of a Shueisha-published manga by Masako Shitara, novels, and games.
The manga previously received two anime adaptations, including one produced by Pierrot, and a 24-minute anime film in the second half of the 20th century. A live-action movie was released in Japan in March 2022.
