Crunchyroll To Premiere TONIKAWA: High School Days At Anime Expo

The upcoming TONIKAWA: Over The Moon For You ~High School Days~ anime will receive a special episode premiere at Anime Expo 2023 hosted by Crunchyroll. 

The premiere will take place on July 2 at the Crunchyroll Stage at the JW Marriott.

TONIKAWA: Over The Moon For You ~High School Days~ will begin airing in Japan on July 12. There will be four episodes in total, with the remaining three to drop on July 26, August 9, and August 23. The story of the new arc sees Nasa heading to an all-girls high school at the request of his middle school teacher Naoko Yanagi to assist with an education program.

TONIKAWA: Over The Moon For You is based on the Shogakukan-published manga by Hayate the Combat Butler‘s Kenjirou Hata, which began serialization in Weekly Shonen Sunday in 2018. 23 tankoubon volumes have been released as of March 2023.

Viz Media describes the manga, which it publishes as Fly Me to the Moon, as:

From the day his parents named him, Nasa Yuzaki has felt connected to outer space…whether he likes it or not. His efforts to outperform the space program veer off course when an accident introduces him to Tsukasa, a mysterious girl with strange powers. Is she an alien, a moon goddess or something else? Since she insists on marrying him, Nasa will have plenty of chances to find out!

The anime’s first season premiered in 2020 and ran for 12 episodes, while the second season began airing on April 7 this year. Crunchyroll and Bilibili are streaming the show, which is directed by Ikehata Hiroshi at Seven Arcs with Kazuho Hyoudou as series composer and Masakatsu Sasaki as character designer. Junya Enoki voices male protagonist Nasa.
