The Baki Hanma anime’s Twitter account has revealed the theme songs for the second half of the upcoming second season.
The opening song will be “Sarracenia,” which is performed by SKY-HI, while the ending song will be “Salvia” by BE:FIRST.
The first part of Baki Hanma Season 2, titled The Tale of Pickle & The Pickle War Saga, will premiere on Netflix on July 26. Part 2, The Father VS Son Saga, will arrive on August 24.
Baki Hanma Season 2 is the sequel to 2018’s Baki and 2021’s Baki Hanma. The anime are based on the Akita Shoten-published Baki manga series by Keisuke Itagaki, which first received an anime adaptation in 2001.
Netflix describes Season 2’s two parts as:
The Tale of Pickle & The Pickle War Saga
They revived a human who shouldn’t even exist; a prehistoric man so powerful, he once preyed on Jurassic dinosaurs — and Baki can’t wait to fight him.
The Father VS Son Saga
It’s Baki Hanma vs. Yujiro Hanma! The ultimate showdown between father and son finally comes to a head in “Baki Hanma,” the third part of the “Baki” series.
The main staff of Baki Hanma Season 2 includes Toshiki Hirano as director, Tatsuhiko Urahata as series composer, and Shingo Ishikawa as character designer. TMS Entertainment is the animation production company.
Meanwhile, the cast includes Nobunaga Shimazaki as Baki Hanma, Akio Otsuka as Yujiro Hanma, Hochu Otsuka as Biscuit Oliva, Kenji Nojima as Jun Guevara, and Mami Koyama as Maria.
There are currently six main Baki manga series and various spin-offs. The first main entry was 1999’s Baki the Grappler, while the latest is the ongoing Baki–michi, which began serialization in Akita Shoten’s Weekly Shonen Champion in 2018.
