The Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout anime has received a special visual illustrated by character designer Tomoyuki Shitaya (Afterlost) that depicts its six main characters. It was also revealed that the anime’s premiere will be one hour in length.
Additionally, it was announced that a collaboration event will be held on July 9 at Yokohama Hakkeijima Sea Paradise. The “TV Anime TV Atelier Ryza and Yokohama Hakkeijima Sea Paradise: Paradise of the Sea and The Secret Flower Garden” event will feature a stamp rally, photo spots, the “Super Sardine Illusion -Sardine-” sardine performance, and goods. There will also be appearances from voice actors Yuri Noguchi, Hitomi Oowada, Yui Kondou, and Haruka Terui.

Atelier Ryza is set to premiere on July 1 (effectively July 2 at 12 AM JST) in Japan. It is inspired by the 2019 JRPG of the same name, which the PlayStation store describes as:
The main character is Ryza, an ordinary girl.
Tired of boring village life, she escapes the village to gather with her good friends in a secret location to talk of their dreams and plan thrilling adventures.
One day, the determined Ryza and company decide to head for the forbidden “island across the shore” as their first exploration trip.
Together with the alchemist and other friends they meet there, they have a “summer adventure” that they will never forget.
The Atelier Ryza anime is directed by Ema Yuzuriha with Yashichirou Takahashi (Shakugan no Shana light novel author) as series composer, Tomoyuki Shitaya (Afterlost) as character designer, and the game’s Kazuki Yanagawa as music composer. LIDENFILMS is the animation production company.
The returning voice cast from the game includes:
• Yuri Noguchi as Reisalin “Ryza” Stout
• Hitomi Oowada as Klaudia Valentz
• Takuma Terashima as Lent Marslink
• Yui Kondou as Tao Mongarten
• Hirofumi Nojima as Empel Vollmer
• Haruka Terui as Lila Decyrus
The Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout video game was released for Nintendo Switch and PS4 in September 2019 and for PC in October 2019. It is the first title in the Atelier Ryza trilogy developed by Gust and published by Koei Tecmo. The third game, Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & the Secret Key, was released on March 23, 2023 for PS5, PS4, and Switch and on March 24 on Steam.
The Atelier Ryza trilogy is part of the long-running Atelier series that began in 1997 with Atelier Marie: The Alchemist of Salburg. 2013’s Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky game was adapted into a 2014 anime series produced by Studio Gokumi.
